Today I started my month long biology internship, which is pretty awesome.

"Emily," you ask, "What does this internship entail?"

I shall tell you.

In addition to capturing ticks and small mammals to study the way ticks carry disease, I'm also being paid to catch lizards. With nooses. On telescoping poles.

Which is basically the coolest thing ever.

Here's how it works: I find a lizard and set my noose. I extend the pole. Then I drop the noose over the lizard's head and yank it up real quick while swinging the pole out to another person, who catches the lizard. Then we go measure it and stuff.

Isn't that awesome? I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this. XD
